Seasonal changes, nostalgia, neurodiversity, my neighborhood, regrets, and protests: Take This Joy has many themes.
I limited myself to just seven hardware synths and drum machines, and no soft synths or samples. I did this because self-imposed limitations bolster my creativity, and to create sonic cohesion.
Everything was left unprocessed, except for a bit of reverb and delay, because I wanted to capture the sounds from the gear in its purest form.
I hope you enjoy listening to this record as much as I enjoyed making it.
